The Seattle Great Wheel

Can you spot the Space Needle?!
For the past month, we have been watching the final stages of the development of the newest addition to Seattle's waterfront from our office window. But now,  The Seattle Great Wheel is open for business!

Since the rest of the United States seemed to have taken the Friday after the 4th of July off from work, our boss decided to take us out for an afternoon surprise adventure. None of us were surprised as the plans were revealed.

The wait time to get on was about an hour but we were constantly moving forward in line and the weather was so beautiful it didn't matter. For $13 each, we got our chance to see the waterfront in a whole new way. I was pleasantly surprised on how efficient they were in loading/unloading, especially for only having opened a few days prior.

The cavities are fully enclosed (weather-proof, duh), and are climate controlled as well. Next time I ride it though, I am taking the VIP chair with the glass bottom!
